Section 10:1-1-8 - Promulgation, amendment or repeal of rules

(a) The Board may propose changes to the permanent rules of the Oklahoma Accountancy Board at any time as provided in the Oklahoma Administrative Procedures Act.
(b) Any interested person may petition the Board requesting the promulgation, amendment, or repeal of a rule.
(1) Such requests shall be: in writing;
signed by the person submitting the request; state the rule to be reviewed or
new rule proposed; and state the reasons in support of the request.
(2) The request shall be submitted to the
Board at its office.
(3) The Board
may consider the proposal at its next meeting. It may defer action pending the
acquisition of additional information, conduct an investigation, or hold a
hearing on the proposal.
(4) The
Board shall advise the petitioner of any meeting at which the proposal is to be
considered and the final action taken, by the Board, on the proposal.
