EXECUTIVE ORDER 2024-18

I, J. Kevin Stitt, Governor of the State of Oklahoma, hereby direct the appropriate steps be taken to fly all American and Oklahoma flags on State property at half-staff from 9:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, to honor the life, legacy, and service of Corporal Robert Sumner.

Corporal Sumner was killed in the line-of-duty on Sunday, July 14,2024, when he was involved in a vehicle accident while en route to provide hospital coverage in Edmond, Oklahoma. Corporal Sumner had been employed with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections at John Lilley Correctional Center since September of 2023.

This executive order shall be forwarded to the Division of Capital Assets Management, who shall cause the provisions of this order to be implemented by all appropriate agencies of state government.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Oklahoma to be affixed at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on this 22nd day of July, 2024.
