EXECUTIVE ORDER 2024-17

I, J. Kevin Stitt, Governor of the State of Oklahoma, hereby direct the appropriate steps be taken to fly all American and Oklahoma flags on State property at half-staff from the time that this order is filed until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, to honor the life, legacy, and service of James M. Inhofe.

Inhofe served in the United States Army, the Oklahoma House of Representatives, the Oklahoma State Senate, the U.S. House of Representatives, the U.S. Senate, and as the mayor of the City of Tulsa. He was a generational Oklahoman who never wavered in protecting our values, relentlessly championing our veterans, and firmly believing in the American Dream. He will be remembered as a true statesman, public servant, and a fighter for Oklahoma. In passing, Inhofe is survived by his wife of 65 years, Kay, their three children, and sixteen grandchildren.

This executive order shall be forwarded to the Division of Capital Assets Management, who shall cause the provisions of this order to be implemented by all appropriate agencies of state government.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Oklahoma to be affixed at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on this 9th day of July, 2024.
