I, J. Kevin Stitt, Governor of the State of Oklahoma, hereby direct the appropriate steps be taken to fly all American and Oklahoma flags on State property at half-staff from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022, to honor the life and service of Balko Firefighter, Jason Timothy Smith, who died due to complications from a rollover crash while battling a grass fire. Funeral services for Firefighter Smith will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Balko Baptist Church. Firefighter Smith's exemplary service to the Balko Fire Department and his service to our state will not be forgotten. Our prayers are with his wife Amy, their two daughters, Taylor and Julia, and the Balko Fire Department during this difficult time.

This executive order shall be forwarded to the Division of Capital Assets Management, who shall cause the provisions of this order to be implemented by all appropriate agencies of state government.
