EXECUTIVE ORDER 2022-25

I, J. Kevin Stitt, Governor of the State of Oklahoma, hereby direct the appropriate steps be taken to fly all American and Oklahoma flags on State property at half-staff on Thursday, October 6, 2022, to honor the life and legacy of Billy Kent Brewster, who was a former United States Congressman representing Oklahoma's Third District, former State Representative, husband, father, Southwestern Oklahoma State University graduate, pharmacist, cattleman, and an avid sportsman who loved Oklahoma. Known for his coalition-building determination and statesmanship, Bill Brewster's legacy is enduring.

Former Congressman Brewster will lie in repose on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at the Oklahoma State Capitol. Preceding him in death were his parents, Grady and Rachel Brewster, son Bradley Kent, daughter Betsy Kecia, and grandson Brewster Kaden Bradford. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Sue "Suzie," their daughter, Karel, and grandson, Braxton Billy Kent Brewster.

This Executive Order shall be forwarded to the Division of Capital Assets Management, who shall cause the provisions of this order to be implemented by all appropriate agencies of state government.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Oklahoma to be affixed at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, this 5 th day of October 2022.
