Ordering flags at half-staff to honor former Lieutenant Governor Jack Mildren

I, Brad Henry, Governor of the State of Oklahoma, hereby direct the appropriate steps be taken to fly all American and Oklahoma flags on State property at half-staff from 8:00 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2008, to honor former Oklahoma Lieutenant Governor Jack Mildren, an Oklahoma resident, who died on Thursday, May 22, 2008, at age 58.

Jack Mildren was a man of incredible courage and conviction. His depth of character was on display in every aspect of his life-whether on the football field, in the classroom, in the the boardroom or in the Lieutenant Governor's office. Oklahoma benefited greatly not only from his years of eleted public service, but from his contributions to the Oklahoma community throughout his life.

This executive order shall be forwarded to the Director of Central Services who shall cause the the provisions of this order to be implemented by all appropriate agencies of state government.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Oklahoma to be affixed at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, this 23rd day of May, 2008.

Therefore, because the correct text of EO 2008-22 was never published in either the Register or the OAC, it has been published herein, as follows:
