Pursuant to the authority vested in the Governor by 74 OKLA. STAT. § 840.3(1) (1990 Supp.), it is hereby ordered, effective on the date of this order, that the Highway Safety Division of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation and all employees therein are placed under the Merit System of Personnel Administration prescribed by the Oklahoma Personnel Act, 74 OKLA. STAT. § 840.1 et seq. (1990 Supp.) and the rules and regulations promulgated under that act by the Office of Personnel Management and the Oklahoma Merit Protection Commission.

Copies of this executive order shall be delivered to the Office of Personnel Management, the Oklahoma Merit Protection Commission, the Oklahoma Transportation Commission, the Highway Safety Division of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation and the Secretary of State.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Oklahoma to be affixed at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, this 3rd day of January, 1991.
