Chapter 4758-5 - Licensure and Certification Requirements
Section 4758-5-06 - Requirements for licensure of independent chemical dependency counselors-clinical supervisor (LICDC-CS)

To be licensed as an independent chemical dependency counselor-clinical supervisor (LICDC-CS) the applicant shall hold an active LICDC license that is in good standing and shall :
(A) Submit a formal application, including:
(B) After approval of the application by the board, receive a passing score on the IC&RC or other board approved clinical supervisor examination, or provide documentation of a valid license, certificate, or credentials issued under another chapter of the Revised Code that authorizes the individual to engage in a profession whose scope of practice includes the clinical supervision of substance use disorder counseling, substance use disorder counseling, and diagnosing and treating substance use disorder conditions.
(C) Complete the hours specified in paragraphs (C)(1) and (C)(2) of this rule.
(D) Thirty hours of approved clinical supervision specific education in paragraph (E) of this rule:
(E) The education content and minimum hours as follows:
(F) Requirements completed under this provision are additional and are exclusive from the LICDC.
(G) The board shall have sole discretion to determine if documentation submitted is suitable.
