Section 3745-18-56 - Mahoning county emission limits

(A) No owner or operator of any coal-fired steam generating unit in Mahoning county, unless otherwise specified in this rule, shall cause or permit the emission of sulfur dioxide from any source to exceed a maximum of 5.4 pounds of sulfur dioxide per MM Btu actual heat input.

(B) The "Whitacre-Greer Fireproofing Company" (OEPA premise number 0250000005) or any subsequent owner or operator of the "Whitacre-Greer Fireproofing Company, 1400 South Mahoning Avenue, Alliance, Ohio" shall not cause or permit the emission of sulfur dioxide from kiln numbers 1 and 2 (OEPA source numbers P004 and P005) to exceed a maximum of 20.0 pounds of sulfur dioxide per ton of actual process weight input from each kiln.

(E) The "Youngstown Thermal" (OEPA premise number 0250110024) or any subsequent owner or operator of the "Youngstown Thermal, 205 North Avenue, Youngstown, Ohio" shall not cause or permit the emission of sulfur dioxide from boiler number 1 (OEPA source number B001 ) to exceed a maximum of 4.7 pounds of sulfur dioxide per MM Btu actual heat input from the boiler.
