(A) The board, on behalf of residents of the Clark state college service area, will exercise its statutory authority to assure that Clark state college fulfills its mission. It will do this by leading Clark state sommunity college with a strategic perspective, rigorously attending to its leadership role and the continuous improvement of its capability as a body to define values and vision.
(B) As the responsible governing authority, the board of trustees will conduct itself so as to:
(1)
Demonstrate a
spirit of collaboration and mutual purpose in advancing the mission of the
college;
(2)
Serve as a unified and harmonious voice in promoting
the college's purpose and vision; and
(3)
Serve as an
informed representative of the interests of the people of its service
area.
