Section 3354:2-10-05 - Authority to enter contracts

Only the president, acting president, vice presidents, the board Chair or the Vice chair in the absence of the chair, shall have the authority to sign contractual agreements on behalf of the college. Furthermore, contractual agreements involving the expenditure of funds shall not become effective prior to certification by the 'treasurer or deputy treasurer of the district pursuant to section 5705.41 of the Revised Code. Contractual agreements include, but are not limited to: purchase contracts, employment contracts, contracts for services, facilities use agreements, maintenance contracts, scholarship awards, letters of intent for athletes, and other commitments which bind the college in an obligation to persons, firms, or other organizations for services and materials. Copies of all contracts shall be retained in the office of the vice President for administrative services or their designate. Contracts executed in violation of this policy may become the personal obligation of the signator.
