Section 1501:31-15-15 - Squirrel seasons, hours, and bag limits

The open season for red, gray, black, and fox squirrels is from September 1, 2024, through January 31, 2025.

(A) It shall be unlawful to:

(1) Hunt or take a squirrel at any time, except between one-half hour before sunrise to sunset daily during the open season for squirrels;

(2) Take more than six red, gray, black, or fox squirrels, singly or in the aggregate, in any one day or possess more than six squirrels taken in one day;

(3) Possess more than six red, gray, black, or fox squirrels, singly or in the aggregate, in the field while hunting or when returning from hunting.

(B) All definitions set forth in rule 1501:31-1-02 of the Administrative Code apply to this rule.
