(a) Any person not licensed by the Board violates G.S. 90-18.1 if he or she:
(1) falsely identifies him/herself as a
physician assistant;
(2) uses any
combination or abbreviation of the term "physician assistant" to indicate or
imply that he or she is a physician assistant; or
(3) acts as a physician assistant without
being licensed by the Board.
(b) An unlicensed physician may not use the title of "physician assistant" or practice as a physician assistant unless he/she fulfills the requirements of this Subchapter.
