(a) Benchmark: The local health department shall promote diversity in the public health workforce.
(b) Activities:
(1) The local health department shall have
and implement a non-discrimination policy as required by state and federal law
and train staff in its application.
(2) The local health department shall develop
and implement a plan consistent with the health department's non-discrimination
policy to recruit and retain a management team and staff that reflects the
population of the service area.
(3)
The local health department shall assure that agency staff receives training in
cultural sensitivity and competency.
