(a) Benchmark: The local health department shall enforce public health laws, rules and ordinances.
(b) Activities:
(1) The local health department shall have
written policies and procedures addressing enforcement of public health laws,
rules and ordinances.
(2) The local
health department shall take enforcement action for violations of public health
laws, rules and ordinances.
(3) The
local health department shall have written policies and procedures for handling
complaints related to enforcement of laws, rules and ordinances.
(4) The local health department shall address
complaints in accordance with its policies and procedures.
