(a) Benchmark: The local health department shall be able to respond to a public health emergency on a 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week basis.
(b) Activities:
(1) The local health department shall be
involved in a local emergency planning committee.
(2) The local health department shall have a
defined role in the county emergency operations plan to protect the public's
health.
(3) The local health
department shall participate in regional emergency preparedness exercises and
activities.
