Title 9 - EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT
Subtitle K - New York State Police
Part 484 - Investigations Of Complaints Against Personnel
Section 484.1 - Purpose and scope

Current through Register Vol. 46, No. 12, March 20, 2024

The security of the State depends to a great extent upon the manner in which the New York State Police performs its duties. Conduct by members or employees that impairs their integrity or the propriety of their performance may jeopardize the safety of the public and raise questions regarding the integrity of other division members and employees. The superintendent is responsible for the prompt and thorough investigation of every complaint and accusation made against a member or employee in order to maintain discipline and control of the New York State Police, and to protect the accused, the division, and the people of the State.
