Part 178 - Day Placement
Section 178.2 - Definitions

For the purposes of this Part the term:

(a) AWOL shall mean absent without leave.

(b) Business day shall mean any weekday exclusive of legal holidays.

(c) Day placement program shall mean a program for youth placed with the division which is an alternative to or includes a period of residential placement.

(d) Director shall mean the Director of the Division for Youth or the director's designee.

(e) Division shall mean the New York State Division for Youth.

(f) Eligible youth shall mean a youth placed with the division pursuant to section 353.3 or 756 of the Family Court Act.

(g) Parent shall mean the parent or other adult with whom a youth may reside while in a day placement program.

(h) Program director shall mean a person responsible for the operation of a day placement program, regardless of whether the program is conducted by the division or by an entity under contract with the division.
