Section 142.3 - Applications for geographic area pay differentials

An application for a geographic area pay differential may be filed by an employee, employee representative or appointing officer. Such application shall be submitted on a form prescribed by the Director of Classification and Compensation, which shall require, but not be limited to, the following information:

(a) the official title of the occupation or occupations for which the differential is requested;

(b) a delineation of the area or location for which the differential is requested;

(c) the amount of the differential requested;

(d) factual salary data of such a nature as to reasonably support the assertion that salaries paid for the occupation or occupations in the area or areas for which the geographic area pay differential is requested, in private or other nonstate employment, substantially exceed salaries paid by the State and salaries in private or other nonstate employment for the same or similar occupation or occupations generally in the State; and

(e) such other pertinent information as may be required by the Director of Classification and Compensation.
