Section 3.17 - Executive order no. 17: [terminating requirement upon attorney general in relation to certain criminal proceedings pending in new york county.]

WHEREAS, on March 18, 1974, at the request of the District Attorney of New York County, Richard H. Kuh, the Governor made a requirement upon you in relation to specified criminal proceedings pending in the County of New York, in which Mr. Kuh had been involved as defense counsel prior to his becoming District Attorney, and

WHEREAS, Mr. Kuh is no longer the District Attorney of New York County, and the need for said requirement upon you no longer exists, and

WHEREAS, Robert M. Morgenthau, the present District Attorney of New York County, and you, the Attorney General of this State, have requested that said requirement be terminated and jurisdiction over the specified criminal proceedings be returned to the District Attorney of New York County.

NOW, THEREFORE, I hereby terminate the requirement upon you of March 18, 1974, effective this date.
