Section 1.76 - Executive Order No. 76: Order relating to provision of emergency procedures to facilitate burial of dead in and near City of New York
I, Nelson A. Rockefeller, Governor of the State of New York, by virtue of the authority vested in me under chapter 585 of the Laws of 1973, entitled "AN ACT to provide emergency procedures to facilitate the burial of the dead in and near the City of New York", having this day received the certifications of the Industrial Commissioner and the Commissioner of Health, respectively, that there exists a labor dispute involving the cemeteries in the New York City metropolitan area which has not been resolved and cannot be resolved through the employment of currently authorized collective bargaining procedures and that such dispute has resulted in an actual threat to the health and welfare of the residents of the State, do hereby invoke by Executive Order the provisions of section 2 of such chapter 585 and declare such provisions to be in full force and effect.
