Section 1.45 - Executive Order No. 45: Amending the Executive Order of April 27, 1967 [No. 22], Designating the Interdepartmental Traffic Safety Committee as the State Agency to Coordinate and Approve State Highway Safety Programs. [*]
I, Nelson A. Rockefeller, Governor of the State of New York, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and Laws of the State of New York, do hereby direct by Executive Order that the initial paragraph of the Executive Order of April 27, 1967, designating the Interdepartmental Traffic Safety Committee as the State agency to coordinate and approve State highway safety programs, be amended to read as follows:
By virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and Laws of the State of New York, I, Nelson A. Rockefeller, Governor of the State of New York, do hereby establish an Interdepartmental Committee, to be known as the Interdepartmental Traffic Safety Committee, to consist of the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, as chairman, and the Commissioners of Education, Health, Local Government, Mental Hygiene, Transportation, the Superintendents of State Police and Insurance, the Chairman of the Public Service Commission, the Chairman of the New York State Thruway Authority, as members. The Chairman shall appoint annually a Vice-Chairman who shall perform the duties of Chairman in the Chairman's absence, or at such other time or times as the Chairman may direct.
