Section 1.37 - Executive Order No. 37: Transfer of title of certain State-owned passenger vehicles from various State departments and agencies to the Office of General Services

I, Nelson A. Rockefeller, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the State of New York and as Governor of the State of New York, by Executive Order do hereby authorize the transfer of title of such State-owned passenger vehicles as may be designated by the Director of the Budget from the various State departments and agencies to the Office of General Services. The transfer of title shall take effect in such manner and at such times as shall be specified by the Director of the Budget.

The Director of the Budget is hereby authorized to review the assignment and utilization of State-owned automobiles. This Executive Order further authorizes the Director of the Budget and the Commissioner of General Services to review and revise the existing policies and procedures for the procurement, maintenance, use and disposition of State-owned passenger vehicles. The Director of the Budget is authorized to terminate any permanent assignments of State-owned passenger vehicles not in accordance with the revised criteria controlling such assignments.

The provisions of this Executive Order shall supersede all previous directives on this subject and shall continue in force and effect until amended or revoked.
