WHEREAS, On August thirtieth, nineteen hundred sixty-one, I, Nelson A. Rockefeller, Governor of the State of New York, did make a certain order appointing: S. Hazard Gillespie, Chairman; Mrs. Arthur C. Aulisi; Kenneth Bartlett; John A. Coleman, Sr.; Manuel Goldman; Nelson C. Jackson; Gustave L. Levy; Baldwin Maull; Joseph Monserrat; Mrs. James S. Seymour; and David Sullivan as Commissioners generally to study, examine, investigate, review and make recommendations with respect to certain matters concerning State and local activities relating to the aid, care and support of the needy, all of which are more particularly described in said order and which order is hereby incorporated herein and made a part hereof as if set forth herein in full; and

WHEREAS, it appearing to be in the public interest that the study, examination, investigation and review conducted pursuant to said order should be continued;

NOW, THEREFORE, Pursuant to Section 6 of the Executive Law, I have extended and by these presents do extend the appointment of S. Hazard Gillespie, Chairman; Mrs. Arthur C. Aulisi; Kenneth Bartlett; John A. Coleman, Sr.; Manuel Goldman; Nelson C. Jackson; Gustave L. Levy; Baldwin Maull; Joseph Monserrat; Mrs James S. Seymour; and David Sullivan for the purpose of completing the study, examination, investigation and review heretofore undertaken pursuant to, and with the powers, authorities and duties contained in said order dated August thirtieth, nineteen hundred sixty-one.
