Section 281.1 - Scope of part

The provisions of this Part shall apply only to an appeal to the Commissioner of Education pursuant to Education Law section 3020(3), which authorizes the City School District of the City of New York and any employee organization representing employees or titles that are or were covered by any memorandum of agreement executed by such city school district and the Council of Supervisors and Administrators of the City of New York on or after December 1, 1999 to negotiate agreements that modify or replace the provisions of Education Law sections 3020-a and 2590-j(7) and directs the commissioner to review appeals brought according to the terms of such agreements.
