Section 230.1 - Use of the auditorium in the State Education Building

(a) When not required to serve the program needs of the Education Department, the auditorium in the State Education Building (Chancellors Hall) may be made available for general public and private use in accordance with the limitations and requirements of this section.

(b) The auditorium in the State Education Building (Chancellors Hall) may not be used for the presentation of any programs that are religious, political or commercial, or at which attendance is exclusive, except that attendance at meetings under the control of institutions in the University of the State of New York may be exclusive.

(c) Fees charged each person, association, organization or corporation permitted the use of the auditorium will be in accordance with the following fee schedule:

Maintenance and custodial charges $100 $100 $150 $150 $150
Each guard (when required) $40 $60 $ 60 $ 60 $ 60

(d) The Education Department reserves the right to require the use of up to four building guards for any event if it is deemed by the department that their services are required to provide adequate audience safety.

(e) No fee will be charged to any State agency granted the use of the hall.
