Subpart 149-2 - Setaside For Attendance Improvement And Dropout Prevention
Section 149-2.2 - Definitions

For purposes of this Subpart:

(a) Administrative costs shall mean the costs of those activities which are incurred to provide direction and oversight for program implementation including program planning and application, monitoring, data collection, research, evaluation and reporting.

(b) Base year shall mean the school year prior to the current year.

(c) Current year means the school year in which the plan prepared pursuant to this Subpart is to be implemented.

(d) Chronic truancy rate shall mean one minus the attendance ratio for the school year prior to the base year.

(e) Local funds shall mean monies raised by local tax levy.

(f) Identified students shall mean those students who:

(1) have been identified pursuant to section 149-2.3(b)(3) of this Subpart as having a high rate of truancy and academic failure; or

(2) have been identified as being:
(i) pregnant;

(ii) a parent; or

(iii) a member of a household that receives public assistance and who resides in a hotel, motel, shelter or in another temporary living arrangement.

(g) Indirect costs shall mean the costs associated with program implementation which cannot readily be identified with the program including payroll preparation, central purchasing and allocation of classrooms and other operating space.
