Section 141.6 - Federal financial participation

The conditions regarding the use of Federal vocational education funds are as follows:

(a) The commissioner shall determine the purposes and amounts of Federal funds to be paid as local assistance payments at the beginning of each fiscal year and communicate such information to local and area education officials.

(b) Prior to the commitment of Federal funds during any fiscal year for any occupational education program or service, a proposal and budget prepared on the basis of the estimated costs of the occupational program involved shall be approved by the commissioner.

(c) Within the budget estimates approved by the commissioner and to the extent that Federal funds are available, boards of education may be allotted such funds for allowable costs attributable to occupational education projects.
