Subpart 80-4 - REQUIREMENTS FOR EXTENSIONS AND ANNOTATIONS OF CERTIFICATES IN THE CLASSROOM TEACHING SERVICE APPLIED FOR ON OR AFTER FEBRUARY 2, 2004 AND IN THE SCHOOL COUNSELOR TITLE APPLIED FOR ON OR AFTER FEBRUARY 2, 2023
Section 80-4.2 - General requirements

(a) Extension titles. Candidates for whom the requirements of this Subpart are applicable, pursuant to the conditions prescribed in section 80-4.1(a) of this Subpart, shall be issued the following extension titles:
(1) Bilingual Education;
(2) Middle Childhood Education (grades
5-6);
(3) Middle Childhood
Education (grades 7-9);
(4) Gifted
Education;
(5) Coordinator of
Work-Based Learning Programs for Career Awareness;
(6) Coordinator of Work-Based Learning
Programs for Career Development;
(7) World language other than English
(specified) (grades 1-6);
(8)
American Sign Language;
(9) General
Science (grades 5-9);
(10) General
Science (grades 7-12);
(11)
Students with Disabilities - Earth Science (grades 5-9);
(12) Students with Disabilities - Biology
(grades 5-9);
(13) Students with
Disabilities - Chemistry (grades 5-9);
(14) Students with Disabilities - Physics
(grades 5-9);
(15) Students with
Disabilities - Social Studies (grades 5-9);
(16) Students with Disabilities - Mathematics
(grades 5-9);
(17) Students with
Disabilities - English Language Arts (grades 5-9);
(18) Students with Disabilities - World
languages other than English - specified (grades 5-9);
(19) Students with Disabilities - Earth
Science (grades 7-12);
(20)
Students with Disabilities - Biology (grades 7-12);
(21) Students with Disabilities - Chemistry
(grades 7-12);
(22) Students with
Disabilities - Physics (grades 7-12);
(23) Students with Disabilities - Social

(b) Annotation titles.
Candidates for whom the requirements of this Subpart are applicable, pursuant to the conditions prescribed in section 80-4.1(a) of this Subpart, shall be issued the following annotation title: Severe or Multiple Disabilities.
(c) General requirements for extensions.
(1) Coursework. For equivalent coursework,
the candidate must have achieved at least a C or its equivalent in any
undergraduate level course and at least a B- or its equivalent in any graduate
level course in order for the semester hours associated with the course to be
credited toward meeting the semester hour requirement for the extension
sought.
