Section 79-13.6 - Provisional permit

(a) In accordance with section 8608 (2) of the Education Law, the department may issue a provisional permit pursuant to which the provisional permit holder may perform examinations and procedures within the definition of clinical laboratory technology set forth in section 8601 (1) of the Education Law under the general supervision of the director of the clinical laboratory, as determined by the department, subject to the requirements set forth in section 8608 (2)(a) of the Education Law and this section. In addition to the requirements for a provisional permit established in Education Law section 8608(2)(a), to qualify for a provisional permit as a clinical laboratory technologist, an applicant shall satisfy one of the following requirements:
