Part 22 - Certificates Of Literacy
Section 22.1 - Issuance

Certificates of literacy shall be issued in accordance with this Part as follows:

(a) At local registration, superintendents of schools shall issue certificates of literacy. Such superintendents may act as examiners or may designate teachers, supervisors or principals of public day or evening schools, or college students in the senior year or of higher rank, so to act.

(b) At central registration, central registration boards shall issue certificates of literacy. Members of such boards may act as examiners or may designate teachers, supervisors or principals of public day or evening schools, or college students of the senior year or of higher rank, to assist with the conduct of the examination.
