Section 702.3 - Communication between defendant and courtroom

If the defendant shall have been removed from the courtroom under the provisions of the preceding section, the trial judge shall make reasonable efforts to establish methods of communication linking the defendant with the courtroom while his trial is in progress. For such a defendant the trial judge may provide such methods of communication as may be suitable to the physical facilities of the courthouse and consonant with the goal of providing adequate communication to the courtroom and to defense counsel.
