Section 613.3 - Authority of oversight committee

The indigent defense organization oversight committee hereby established, upon the agreement and recommendation of the City of New York and the participating bar associations to the Assigned Counsel Plan (i.e., Association of the Bar of the City of New York, New York County Lawyers' Association, and the Bronx County Bar Association) shall have the authority and responsibility to monitor the operation of organizations that contract with the City of New York to represent indigent defendants in criminal proceedings, and to consider all matters that pertain to the performance and professional conduct of such organizations and the individual attorneys in their employ who are assigned to represent indigent parties in criminal proceedings.
