Section 2002.3 - Municipal application

(a) Upon the request of an eligible municipality, the corporation may conduct orientation meetings with appropriate representatives of a municipality to explain the corporation's services as related to a specific project(s) under consideration by the municipality.

(b) Following the orientation meeting and any other communications as may be required to refine a project scope, the municipality may issue a letter requesting the corporation's services. Upon receipt of such letter, the corporation shall prepare and submit to the municipality, in writing, an estimated project budget including the estimated cost of the corporation's services, based on the requested scope of services from the municipality.

(c) If the municipality, by resolution of its governing body, elects to utilize the corporation's services, it shall notify the corporation in writing of such determination and transmit a copy of such resolution by its governing body authorizing the chief executive officer of the municipality to enter into an agreement with the corporation for the project, and authorizing the expenditure of sufficient municipal funds for the project including the estimated charges for the corporation's services.
