Section 1262.80 - Mobile equipment, brakes and lights

(a) All mobile equipment shall be fitted with a positive parking brake designed to prevent the equipment either from rolling on sloping ground, or from becoming free rolling due to aircraft blast or wind.

(b) On every vehicle, trailer or other piece of mobile equipment not required to be escorted by a following vehicle or not required to be electrically lighted, a pattern of red #3272 and silver #3270 alternate strips of pressure sensitive, wide angle, flattop Scotchlite not less than one inch wide nor more than two inches wide shall be installed. The pattern shall be in the shape of a "V", the stroke of the "V" being not less than one foot wide and two feet long. The pattern shall extend from the topmost corner of the rear of the vehicle to a point approximately 15 inches from the roadway. Any deviation from this pattern shall be subject to the approval of the airport manager.
