Section 1156.8 - Appeal

Any person denied access to a record may, within 30 days, appeal such denial in writing to the chairman of the authority, or the chairman of the subsidiary corporation, as the case may be. The time for deciding an appeal shall commence upon receipt of a written appeal identifying the date of requests for records, the records that were denied and the name and return address of the appellant. The authority shall transmit to the Committee on Open Government copies of all appeals upon receipt. The chairman shall inform the appellant and the Committee on Open Government of his or her decision in writing within 10 business days of the receipt of an appeal as specified above.
