Section 890.5 - Water conservation performance standards for plumbing fixtures and fittings

(c) To be acceptable for use in the basin, plumbing fixtures and fittings shall be certified and labeled by the manufacturer as meeting the water conservation performance standards specified in subdivision (a) of this section. Certification shall be based on independent test results. Plumbing fixtures and fittings shall be labeled in accordance with ANSI A112.18.1M and ANSI A112.19.2M.
(d) The Executive Director shall periodically review the performance standards and testing requirements set forth in subdivision (a) of this section to determine their adequacy in light of advances in technology for water conservation fixtures and fittings. The results of such reviews, including any recommendations for more stringent water conservation performance standards, shall be presented to the commission.
(e) Municipalities of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeking permit approval or renewal under section 3.8 of the compact for water supply or wastewater discharge projects shall document that regulations consistent with subdivision (a) of this section have been adopted within their area of jurisdiction. Such documentation shall be a condition for permit approval or renewal.
