Part 701 - Access To Personal Information Held By The Commission Of Investigation
Section 701.4 - Nonrequired access to records

(a) The commission may choose, in accordance with its enabling act or other appropriate statute, to provide access to certain records even though such disclosure is not required by the Personal Privacy Protection Law.

(b) Whenever the commission provides access to any of its records pursuant to subdivision (a) of this section, the data subject shall be so informed in writing by the privacy compliance officer or the privacy compliance appeals officer. However, such disclosure shall be deemed to have been made pursuant to subdivision (a) of this section, regardless of whether the requester is so informed.

(c) Disclosure of any records by the commission pursuant to subdivision (a) of this section shall not be deemed to require the commission to provide the date subject with access to any other records; nor shall it require the commission to provide any other data subject with access to those types of records.
