Part 5902 - Applications For Financial Assistance-corporation For Innovation Development Program
Section 5902.3 - Preliminary applications

(a) Before filing an application as provided in section 5902.4 of this Part, a preliminary application shall be filed with the CID program manager on forms supplied by the foundation. In the alternative, an applicant may file a current business plan.

(b) The preliminary application or current business plan shall be filed with the CID program manager, together with such available supporting information as may be appropriate or necessary to enable the foundation to make a preliminary determination of the technological nature of the project, the feasibility of the project business plan and its financing, and the feasibility of the marketing plan.

(c) A preliminary application or current business plan shall be reviewed by the foundation staff to determine: initial acceptability, conformity to the CID program criteria, conformity to Federal rules and regulations, and completeness.

(d) The CID program manager shall notify the applicant of the acceptability of the preliminary application or current business plan and, if it is accepted, shall invite the applicant to file an application as provided in section 5902.4 of this Part.
