Part 5900 - Public Access To Records
Section 5900.2 - Definitions

For the purposes of this Part:

(a) The term foundation means the New York State Science and Technology Foundation.

(b) The term record means any information kept, held, filed, produced or reproduced by or for the foundation.

(c) The term records access officer means the manager of finance and administration of the foundation.

(d) The term workday means the hours between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. any day except Saturday, Sunday, a public holiday or a day on which the foundation is otherwise closed for general business.

(e) The term trade secret means a secret formula, method, process, device, pattern, or compilation of information that gives one an opportunity to gain an advantage over competitors or potential competitors.

(f) The term proprietary information means any exclusive or secret knowledge or information held by a person or enterprise, which, if disclosed, would cause substantial injury to the competitive position of the person or enterprise.
