Section 5502.2 - Commutation debit card regulations

In the use of commutation debit card, the following special conditions are hereby established in addition to those relative to the operation of a vehicle:

(a) The card is valid for two years from date of purchase.

(b) The card must be presented to the toll collector.

(c) The commutation debit card is not redeemable.

(d) Commutation trip fare card regulations. In the use of commutation trip fare care, the following special conditions are hereby established in addition to those relative to the operation of a vehicle:

(1) The commutation trip fare card is only valid for Category I vehicles, as described in section 5502.1(c) of this Part, which is under 8,000 lbs. (3,629 kgs.) gross weight or school buses on regularly scheduled student pickup and delivery routes, for the first two axles on any such vehicle or school bus.

(e) The commutation debit card must be surrendered to the toll collector upon expiration.

(f) A commutation debit card which is lost will not be replaced with a substitute by the authority.
