(a) Fire protection. All PSAPs shall comply with the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code.
(b) Facility power.
(1) All PSAPs shall have an
engine driven generator as an emergency source of power.
(2) All PSAPs shall have an uninterruptible
power system (UPS) which shall maintain the power connection during the
transition from commercial power to the standby generator power for critical
systems and applications.
(3) The
authority shall have a written procedure for the testing of standby power
sources.
(4) The authority shall
conduct documented inspections and testing of standby power sources at least
monthly.
(c) Facility hours of operation. All PSAPs shall be fully operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year (366 days during leap year).
