Section 4227.8 - Selection criteria

(a) Only eligible projects may qualify for assistance hereunder. In selecting recipients for assistance hereunder from among competing eligible projects, the corporation shall give consideration to the rank assigned to the relative applications by the department.

(b) In addition, the corporation shall take the following factors into consideration:

(1) the ability of the applicant to undertake the proposed project as evidenced by its past history and accomplishments and its current activities;

(2) the commitment of the applicant to the development of child day care centers, especially those serving the needs of low-income families;

(3) the need for a child day care center in the location for the proposed project; and

(4) the degree to which the proposed project evidences the potential for the successful operation of a child day care center.
