Section 4227.1 - Purpose and types of assistance

The purpose of these regulations is to set forth the application process, determine eligibility and codify administration by the corporation of the Child Care Facilities Construction Program (the "program", as defined herein). The purpose of the program is to provide financial assistance for the establishment, expansion and development of licensed, not-for-profit child day care centers intended to serve the needs of low-income working families, economically distressed areas or highly distressed communities (as such terms are defined below). The types of assistance available from the corporation shall consist of child care construction grants, child care construction loan guarantees and child care construction revolving loans.
