Section 5.8 - Exemption from medical examination

(a) No holder of a temporary permit or license, who has been previously physically examined by a physician approved by the commission within three years, shall be required to submit to a medical examination pursuant to section 5.5 of this Part, unless specifically required to do so by the commission, if he:

(1) has not been granted a waiver from the physical fitness standards prescribed by section 5.6 of this Part; and

(2) has not since the time of his prior physical examination been hospitalized or received medical treatment for any condition, illness, disease or deformity as set forth in section 5.6 of this Part.

(b) No holder of a temporary permit or license, who has been physically examined during the current year by a physician approved by the commission, shall be required to submit to a medical examination pursuant to section 5.5 of this Part, unless specifically required to do so by the commission.

(c) No applicant for a license to act as a management security officer under section 5.1(a)(3) of this Part shall be required to submit to a medical examination or meet the age requirements of section 5.6 of this Part.
