Section 1.8 - Withdrawal of applications and petitions and surrender of licenses and registrations

Applications or petitions submitted to the commission may be withdrawn only with the permission of the commission. Licenses or registrations may be surrendered only with the permission of the commission. Such permission may be granted unconditionally or with prejudice. The pendency of such application or petition to withdraw or to surrender shall not prevent the ordering of a hearing or the continuance of a hearing under section 1 or 3 of article XI of the Act, as appropriate.
