Section 197-3.1 - General requirements

(a) Renewals. For all home inspection licenses that expire prior to December 31, 2008, no renewal license shall be issued unless said licensee has completed six hours of approved continuing education within the two-year period immediately preceding such renewal. For all home inspection licenses that expire on or after December 31, 2008, no renewal license shall be issued unless said licensee has completed 24 hours of approved continuing education within the two-year period immediately preceding such renewal.

(b) Course approval. No offering of a course of study in the home inspection field for the purpose of compliance with the continuing education requirements of subdivision (a) of this section shall be acceptable for credit unless such course of study has been approved by the Department of State under the provisions of this Part.
