Section 729.1 - Scope

Pursuant to chapter 693 of the Laws of 1992, as amended by chapter 532 of the Laws of 2010, the New York State Commission for the Blind is authorized to establish a Business Enterprise Program through which blind persons will be licensed and authorized to operate vending facilities on any State property, or any building which houses any authority, agency or entity whose board of directors or executives are appointed by the Governor, or any airport located in the State of New York, with no rental or other charge therefor, for the purposes of providing blind persons with remunerative employment, enlarging the economic opportunities of the blind, and stimulating the blind to greater efforts in striving to make themselves self-supporting.
