Section 502.8 - Additional time requirements for submission of requested information, and basis for penalties

(a) Requested information must be provided to the department within 35 days of the written request for such information. Payment may be denied for services provided during the period beginning on the day following the date the information was required to be provided to the department and ending on the day before the date on which the information was actually received by the department.

(b) The department may refuse to approve any claims submitted, a provider agreement or a contract with a fiscal agent, and may terminate an existing agreement or contract, if the provider or fiscal agent fails to provide the requested information.
