Section 464.2 - Procedure for initiating volunteer program

Proposals for use of volunteers shall be submitted to the department for review and approval. Proposals shall include plans for supervision of the volunteer program; description of specific areas in which volunteers may serve; methods of recruitment, training, supervision; plans for payment of volunteers (i.e., reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses incurred by the volunteer and for public recognition of services rendered by volunteers); and the district's plan for gradual expansion of the volunteer program.
